Who we are

Sustainable Agriculture Technology (SAT) is a strong, leading, and trusted local NGO that was established as a Trust in 2007, and registered in 2011 under the Private Voluntary Organisations Act in Zimbabwe(Reference No. PVO 09/11). SAT is a respected sector leader with key distinctive competencies inagribusiness development, regenerative climate smart agriculture, wildlife and natural resourcesmanagement, extension services provision, and resilience building. Its Headquarters is in Harare,Zimbabwe, and there are several field offices to support the implementation of different agriculturaas well as wildlife and natural resource management projects in many parts of Zimbabwe. SAT haspreviously implemented development projects in Lesotho, Mozambique, Swaziland and Zambia.Altogether, SAT’s work has reached over 750,000 smallholder farming households

Our Mission

SAT’s mission is to transform and commercialise smallholder agriculture and improve wildlife and natural resource management through the development and roll out of sustainable business models in partnership with the private sector and beneficiary communities, which is good for sustainability. In all its work, SAT works closely with different government departments and builds the capacity of local farmers’ organisations and community structures through training, exchange visits, mentorship and coaching, and market linkages.
